Gifts Just For Her

If you’re looking for a gift for the lady on your list, why not treat her to the Mercedes of flat irons – a Karmin G3 Salon Pro!

Karmin
Karmin G3 Salon Pro – $129.95

I’m a self-professed flat iron junkie, constantly searching for new and better ways to get the perfect sleek style. Over the years, I’ve realized that a good cut is the most important part of the equation if you want to get rid of poofiness and obtain pin-straight hair – but a flat iron is still a very important tool in my arsenal. Previously, I was using a 6″ wide wet-to-straight flat iron. I always avoided small, thin flat irons like the plague, because I figured that in order to tame my hair, I needed the biggest surface possible to smash my hair down with!

When I had the opportunity to review a Karmin G3 Salon Pro, I jumped at the chance. I had always wanted to try an expensive, salon-quality flat iron, but I didn’t want to invest that much money without knowing how well it would work. Being Super Coupon Girl, I firmly maintain that price does not define the quality – just because it’s expensive, doesn’t mean it’s worth it. So when the Karmin arrived, I swapped out my $20 drugstore iron to try out the $130 model for a while.

Well, that was several months ago, and I have not gone back to my old iron since. I realized that a thin flat iron actually works better for me, because you have more control! And because of the slender design and curved edge plate, you can also use this iron to add flips, waves, and loose curls – something I’ve never been able to do with a flat iron before. This is so nice, because it opens up the door for so many different styles above and beyond straight and sleek.

The Karmin heats all the way up to 420 degrees – which is the setting I normally use! However, you must use extreme caution and notch up the heat slowly! We all know how damaging heat is to your hair, and just because I can abuse mine without it falling out doesn’t mean you’ll have the same results! And you must be careful; I have a pretty good blister on my finger right now from where I slipped the other day smoothing my hair. Oops!! The booklet didn’t say how to determine when the iron was finished heating up, but you can tell because there is a red light which blinks off when the iron is hot – and it heats up very rapidly.

Hair before using the Karmin flat iron

Here is my hair before using the Karmin flat iron – I let my hair air dry instead of blow drying it, because it gets very puffy and unmanageable when I let it dry naturally, so I thought this would be a good example for a before picture!

Curled hair using the Karmin

And what’s really cool about the Karmin is that it’s an all-in-one styling tool – here is my hair, curled with the Karmin! I did very tight curls here, just to show off what it’s capable of doing.

Loose curls and waves styled with the Karmin

I brushed the tight curls out a little bit for a more natural, waved look here. There are so many possibilities styling your hair with this tool!

I am pleased to have been introduced to the Karmin G3 Salon Pro, and will continue to use and enjoy it. Everyone has different styling requirements; and for my needs, the Karmin is working quite nicely.

The Karmin G3 Salon Pro is available on HairProductsPro.com for $129.95. If you’d like to read another Karmin Salon Pro Review, click here! I was provided with a complimentary unit in exchange for this coverage.
